Prince Albert of Monaco tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday April 13, as announced by the Prince’s Palace in a press release.

The Rock has not been spared by the pandemic. This Wednesday, April 13, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco announced that Prince Albert tested positive for Covid-19. However, the inhabitants can be reassured, the state of health of the husband of Charlene of Monaco is not worrying, as it was indicated in a press release. “Asymptomatic, his state of health inspires absolutely no concern“, can we read first. Like anyone positive for the virus, Albert II isolated himself but he still continues to perform his duties. “He works remotely, in permanent contact with the members of his cabinet, his government as well as with his close collaborators. indicated the Palace, then specifying that its period of isolation will adapt to the health rules in force“. A new fright for the prince who can count on the support of his children.

It’s not the first time that Albert of Monaco has faced the virus. In March 2020, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco announced that he had tested positive. Like this time, his state of health was not at all worrying and Jacques and Gabrielle’s dad had been “closely monitored by his attending physician and specialists from the Princess Grace Hospital Center“. He had also complied with the recommendations put in place by the government and had continued to “working from the office of his private apartments”, while being in “permanent liaison with the members of his cabinet, his government as well as with his closest collaborators”. Following this announcement, Albert of Monaco contacted the Monegasques and asked them to respect containment measures and limit contact with others to a minimum“. Optimistic, Albert II had explained to Monaco-Matin that it was not necessarynot give in to panic or psychosisbut stay “vigilant and attentive”. Advice that he will certainly follow to the letter.

Albert of Monaco: is he the first crowned head to have been affected by the virus?

Yet particularly vigilant in the face of the coronavirus, Prince Albert of Monaco has tested positive for the virus twice. It was on March 19, 2020 that he caught Covid-19 for the first time, making him the first crowned head to be contaminated. He was followed closely by Prince Charles a few days later. However, he recovered quickly and his doctors gave reassuring news.
