In his autobiography, Anthony Delon confides in particular on his childhood spent with a harsh, sometimes violent father. His book, Alain Delon read it, and liked it very much.
Anthony Delon needed to tell his story and that of his family. On March 10, Alain Delon’s son published his autobiography, titled Between dog and wolfin which he returns to his very conflicted relationship with his father, who may have been violent with his children. “It’s not a settling of scores (…) I’m 57 today and I realized that there is no perfect family, that many of us had injuries that kept us from being ourselves, such as abandonment or other wounds”, confided the companion of Sveva Alviti on the set of 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. In the columns of ParisianAnthony Delon assures him, this book is also “a message of love” sent to his famous dad. “What is important is that my father says to himself: ‘My son has forgiven me’. And that he understands that he too can forgive his parents”he confides.
Because according to him, his father’s violence comes from his own youth. “The tragedy of his life was his departure for Indochina. It was that this mother signed his assignment to Indochina when he was still a minor. That is very important to understand. There is the love and contempt and it’s something that has followed him all his life”explained Anthony Delon on the set of France 2. According to him, if Alain Delon has sometimes been harsh, it’s because he “spoke but to the child within him”. “It’s the child inside of him that he hasn’t cared for, that he hasn’t been able to appease (…) and I hope that by reading this book, he will repair “, he added, very moved. With this autobiography, Anthony Delon wants to tell his father what he was not always able to make him understand. “This pain, we transmit it if we do not work on ourselves”, he tells our colleagues.
Alain Delon “is doing like a charm”
Besides, Alain Delon was one of the first to read his book. “He said to me: ‘Stay still, you’re great. What’s important is that we know who you are'”remembered the big brother of Alain-Fabien and Anouchka before giving reassuring news of the health of his father, who “carries like a charm” : “We were together three days ago – we see each other regularly now – and I feel that he is making peace with himself. The book does him good”. Although physically diminished, Alain Delon continues to enjoy his daily life. “He reads his newspaper in the morning, he’s in a rush. The other day, he was watching and commenting on Macron’s speech on TV and, at the same time, he was reading the catalog of the Romy Schneider exhibition”, described his eldest son, still in the columns of Parisian.
