This Wednesday April 13, 2022, during TPMP, Cyril Hanouna did not hesitate to return to a sequence which was not at all to his liking: when Benjamin Duhamel, the political journalist of BFMTV, did not want to pronounce the name of the show Face à Baba.
It’s no surprise to anyone: Cyril Hanouna will always defend his work. During his daily show, Touche pas à mon poste, this Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the star presenter of C8 wanted to clarify things about a sequence that he did not like at all: the day before, on BFMTV, a debate has been launched about recent statements by Marine Le Pen on the journalists of Quotidien. Coming back to that, the political journalist of the continuous news channel, Benjamin Duhamel, decided to make a comparison between Quotidien and Face à Babaprogram which he did not want “quote the name”.
What trigger the anger of Cyril Hanouna and his columnists. Here is what he said live: “The statement of this young man, who did not want to mention the name of the show, bothered me. Benjamin Duhamel, already, he confuses everything. He confuses TPMP and Face à Baba. He is completely off the mark. He does not understand anything. He is completely drowned. It’s not Benjamin Duhamel it’s Benjamin Béchamel. He is in the sauce the guy, he does not understand anything he says“.

This tackle done, Cyril Hanouna gave the floor to his columnists, in order to see what their opinion was on the matter. It was then that Gilles Verdez spoke. “The way he doesn’t pronounce the name of the show while pinching his nose when he’s the little marquis of salon journalists, I find that contemptuous and vulgar… it discredits political journalists. They are incapable of asking the real questions with real contradictions. Ithey are lost and so they hit you. I find that utterly disrespectful.”
