This Wednesday, April 13, 2022 was a special evening for Bernard Montiel. The columnist of Touche pas à mon poste returned to one of the darkest moments of his life, a period when he had suicidal desires,

Bernard Montiel delivered very touching secrets. This Wednesday, April 13, 2022, while he was on the Touche set not at my post as columnist for Cyril Hanouna, the host made an announcement that no one expected. During the start of C8’s daily show, he was asked if he had ever felt like he was sinking once in his life. And his answer was not long in coming: “I’ll be honest, I almost killed myself”he launched.

Before continuing : When I left my post of judicial officer, I did not know what to do with my life. I didn’t have a penny in my pocket. With my little savings, I went to Los Angeles and rented a car. I was driving to Sacramento and, like in the movies, I saw the coast pass in front of me. And there, I said to myself: ‘I’m going to go for it’. Really, I was in tears. I never said that.”

Bernard Montiel: “I had no more money, I didn’t know what to do”

This sad anecdote of Bernard Montiel seemed to touch Cyril Hanouna. But the latter made it known with his own humor: “You know, what you’re saying means something to me. It means something to me because you missed it. But luckily, because we never would have had a gag video!”, reacted the presenter-star of C8. Which caused hilarity on set. After having a good laugh, Bernard Montiel ended the sequence by returning to his remarks: “No, but it’s true. When you have no more money, you don’t see how to get back to France, you don’t know what to do.”
