Since this Thursday, April 7, 2022, you can start filling out your tax return for the year 2021. If the start date of this period is the same for all French people, the closing date varies slightly depending on the department of residence.
Hauts-Garonne residents will have between a month and a half and two months to complete it depending on the medium: paper or online.
Until May 19, 2022 on paper in Haute-Garonne
For a paper version declaration, the deadline for sending this year is May 19, 2022 (the postmark being taken as proof). Since 2019, online declaration is mandatory for those who have an internet connection in their main residence.
However, the tax administration remains tolerant towards those who find it impossible to complete the form online, such as residents in white areas or people who cannot use a computer.
Until May 31, 2022 online
On the internet, you will have until May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. to complete it on impots.gouv.fr with your tax number and password.
In the event of delay, an increase may be applied: up to 40% if the declaration has not been filed within 30 days of receipt of a formal notice.
Sign up for monthly direct debit
The monthly levy makes it possible to spread out in ten levies, from January to October, the payment of its property tax, housing tax for those who still have to pay it, TV license fee and other taxes.
To choose the monthly direct debit, with effect from 2022, you must register on the tax site until June 30, 2022 at the latest. The first direct debit will take place from the 15th of the following month.
As income tax is deducted at source, it is not affected by this deadline.
